Throughout the publications we refer to many reference websites, IRC Code, Tax Law Cases and IRS publications. All situations differ, we urge you to do additional research and refer to many sources.

Course Update Policy: Tax Law is always changing. TaxEase endeavors to keep up by updating the Update section of our syllabus. We will do this whenever there is a significant change. If you already purchased the course you will receive an email and all new information will be posted on the Update Page of our website.

30 Day Refund Policy: TaxEase is confident that the student will find the information informative and helpful to their practice. If the student is not satisfied with any of our courses, a full refund will be issued within 30 days of the date ordered prior to submission for grading. No refunds for 2021 courses purchased after January 15, 2022 will be issued.

Course Material: All course material is available through our website. All courses must be paid for at the time they are ordered. The exams are included in the course material. An order number for a 2021 purchase is required in order for a student to login to the exam.

Course Exam: The open book exam consist of multiple choice questions which are directly related to the course material provided. A minimum score of 70% is required for successful completion. Pertaining to Bundled Courses: Each section, Tax Law, Tax Update, Ethics, California Law (if applicable) is graded separately and each section requires a minimum score of 70%. Students may retake any exam at no additional cost if they receive a failed score. Students may not retake the exam once successfully completed.

TaxEase grading and reporting procedure: Exams will be graded by our online system at the time each exam is completed. A Certificate of Completion will be located in the students online account to be printed by the student after each exam is successfully completed. TaxEase will monitor the online system and report continuing education hours to CTEC and the IRS within the time period required.

Evaluation of Course(s): In compliance with the regulations we provide an an evaluation form online. We rely on student assessments to improve the program for future participants.

 
It is the students responsibility to:​
 
  • Provide their PTIN and CTEC number to TaxEase by entering it correctly in their online exam account. This ensures timely reporting of the students education hours.
  • Renew their registration with CTEC:
CTEC begins their 2021/2022 registration cycle on August 1, 2021. The deadline for renewing is October 31, 2021.
CTEC renewal fee is $33 for 2021/2022.
CTEC's late charge of $55 will be added to the renewal fee for those renewing after October 31, 2021 and before January 15, 2022. CTEC will not allow renewal registrations for 2021/2022 after January 15, 2022.
  • Renew their PTIN before January 1, 2022.
