| 2009- 20 Hour Continuing Education This course consists of 10 chapters, followed by questions. The material includes current year updates, a 1040 review and common questions from taxpayers. Successful completion of this course will satisfy the 20 hour CTEC requirement for tax preparer's. CTEC #3064-CE-0007 |
60 Hour "Become A Tax Preparer" Course Upon successful
completion of this course the student will be qualified to register with the
California Tax Education Council as a tax preparer. The course consists of
19 chapters and 500 questions, covering the basic areas of tax
preparation.
New preparer registration takes place throughout the year with CTEC.
Individuals who register as new preparers are valid through the following
October 31st, and will be required to renew the registration at that time by
completing 20-hours of continuing education.
You should proceed with your registration immediately if you will be
preparing taxes between today's date and/or your education will expire
prior to October 31st. (Qualifying education is valid for 18 months)
You should wait to register until November 1st. if you will NOT be preparing
taxes between today's date and/or your education will NOT expire prior to
October 31st. (Qualifying education is valid for 18 months)
