TaxEase is approved by CTEC for Qualifying and Continuing Education, the
CTEC provider number for TaxEase is 3064. TaxEase has entered into a
Sponsor Agreement with the IRS, the assigned provider number B8FQK.
TaxEase 2012 continuing education material has been approved by the
California Tax Education Council (CTEC) and the IRS. The 15 hours of
Federal education includes 2hours of ethics, 3 hours of tax updates and
12 hours of Federal tax law. The CA course provides 5 hours of state
continuing education
TaxEase 2011 "Become A Tax Preparer" Course consists of 45 hours
of Federal and 15 hours of CA Qualifying Education, 2 hours of ethics is
included in the course. This course is for CA students who wish to
become a CTEC registered tax preparer.

The open book exam consists of multiple choice and true/false questions
which are directly related to the course material provided. A minimum score
of 70% is required for successful course completion. The student may
retake the test as many times as necessary provided a new answer sheet
is resubmitted. Upon successful completion of the course an email
certificate will be issued to the student. CTEC will be updated online,
as well as the pertinent information supplied to the IRS, CTEC requires
the students PTIN number, payment of registration and proof of a valid
$5,000 bond at the time of registration.
TaxEase will record and maintain the student records as required by CTEC
and the IRS.
In compliance with regulations we provide an evaluation form to be
completed and returned to TaxEase with the answer sheet. We rely on the
student assessments to improve the program for future participants.
